I visited the Renaissance fair this summer for the first time. I wasn't really sure of what to expect other than another chance of photographing interesting subjects. But to my surprise it turned out to be a lot of fun. I arrived at the jousts just as they had begun and found a spot behind all the spectators with several people in the way. Once the event photographer moved to another location I had a good view of the action in arena and managed to capture most of the story.
